Summer in Scotland, 1848

As noted in this book's preface, this book is a personal account of Abbott's adventures in Scotland in the summer of 1847. He specifically notes that this book is to provide entertainment and not a true geographical, historical or statistical account of Scotland.

The first and the later reprint editions were all published by Harper and Brothers, New York. The first edition was published in 1848. Subsequent known editions were reprinted in 1854, 1859, 1872, 1876, and 1879.
