J. W. Parker, London
This London publisher printed Abbott's Reader: A Series of Familiar
Pieces, in Prose and Verse in 1835. The 1835 imprint for this title was
J. W. Parker. Later Parker and Son published this book.
I am unaware of any other Parker Abbott publications.
J. W. Parker was succeeded by J. W. Parker and Son and that
firm is best known for publishing the first edition of Gray's Anatomy
in 1858. In 1863 Longman acquired the J. W. Parker publishing business
which was styled Parker, Son and Bourn at the time.
