Federal Book Company succeeded the F. M Lupton Publishing Company in 1902. A number of Lupton Series were continued by Federal at that time - including all of the series that included the Jacob Abbott biographical books. As opposed to most of the post-1900 publishing firms that printed the Abbott biographies, Federal only published five Abbott titles.
