John Hatchard and Son, London

Hatchards is currently the oldest bookstore in England. It no longer is a publisher however.

The firm published "Abbott Versus the Bible". This short 8 vo. 47 page 1839 monograph appears to a treatise written by a third party (Author of "A Letter to Everybody").

The title indicates that the book is about how these Abbott titles: The Corner Stone and the Young Christian can be tested by Scripture and the Church of England.
